These folk here are some of the friendliest, humble and incredibly inspiring people I have ever met. Our paths crossed for the first time when I went to photograph Emma and Gordon’s wedding in Zimbabwe in 2012. Since then I have become good friends with Emma and Gordon and have been so blessed by their generous and thoughtful friendship. I have also got so much respect for Emma’s folks who are going through a tough time maintaining their farm with the Land reforms of Zimbabwe under Robert Mugabe. Their struggle has not been easy but yet they have handled it with such godly wisdom and grace. Their strength of character and integrity shines through and has inspired me greatly.

For the first time since Emma and Gordon’s wedding, the whole Conolly family was in the same city again- and so to document the stupendous occasion, I rocked up with my camera! :) I even brought along Jessie, my Zimbo house mate, as an assistant- who needless to say is an absolute joker and provided us all with some good laughs.

I has such a great time with these legends (as would be expected of course!) and wish them all the best for 2015. May it be a just, honourable, prosperous and blessed year for you guys. Thank you for being the wonderful people that you are- the world needs more people like you!
