It is with absolute pleasure and fond memories that I present you with this colourful post of a couple who have crept into my heart.  Jenson and Amanda were my first international clients who decided to fit in a shoot with me on their recent trip to Cape Town. They’re from Singapore and met each other at university, where, according to Amanda, Jenson had made his intentions pretty clear right from the start, not leaving much room for her to decide otherwise ;)

With Jenson being based in India for work, and Amanda still back home in Singapore, this holiday was a welcome change from their ‘over the phone’ relationship, as they called it, and their excitement to be together is evident in the photos!

The shoot was more like a fun afternoon tour of Cape Town, visiting locations like Bokaap, Signal Hill, Clifton and Camps Bay! I was really impressed by how prepared this couple was, with their perfectly styled outfits for each location and the carefully thought out props to match. Perhaps the most impressive of all was their flawlessly synchronized aerobics moves and their willingness to change outfits in the back of a moving car, in the middle of Cape Town traffic!

As a photographer there are few things I value more than capturing an incredible photo that literally makes me jump up and down with excitement (of which there were plenty during this shoot). I do, however, have a real heart for relationships and the most rewarding feeling is when you have a couple who come to you as clients, but leave as friends. Jenson and Amanda, I look forward to more fun with you guys somewhere in the (near) future – My amazing assistant, Kimmy and I are already thinking of ways to get hold of tickets to Singapore to take you up on your wedding invite!!!
