This was by far one of the most incredibly beautiful and special weddings that I have ever been too. So forgive me if this post is a bit long- I found I got a bit emotionally attached to everything and wishing myself back in Boston reliving this amazing day. ;)
Kenny and Justin are friends of mine who got married in the gorgeous area of Boston in Kwazulu Natal (in a barn!!!). Boston, Kenny’s home ‘town’, is a tiny little place that pretty much consists only of a petrol station, a cafe, a church and a farmers association hall- so I don’t think its fair to call it a town. :) But it is a absolutely stunning little place none the less, with the most amazing community and I really felt so welcome there. So much so that it felt like I had grown up and lived there all my life! I flew up a few days before the wedding to do a bit of location scouting and familiarise myself with the area, which was great because I also got to meet so many new people and help out with the last minute things that needed to be done before the Big day. I was in my element driving around on the old Dargle road in Kenny’s dads bakkie! Felt like I was back home in the Karoo… Except I never seen the Karoo THAT green!
The rain had behaved itself all day, with only a few drops here and there for most of the morning and early afternoon. But by late afternoon (just around the time that the couple shoot was to be done) it had decided that it was tired of behaving and unleased a rather serious downpour half way through our couple shoot! In fact at some point I was sure that a cloud had burst, it was bucketing down so hard! This broke my little heart because it meant that the couple shoot was going to be cut in half and I still wanted to get so many more pics of my beautiful friends! When we entered the reception hall we were sopping wet just from getting out the car and running into the hall.
Kenny and Justin, thank you for the incredible priveledge of being a part of your wonderful day! You have been blessed with amazing friends and family who love you dearly and treasure you guys so much. It is a beautiful thing to behold! Keep being the awesome, blessed people that you are! much love xx
