Oh my-so my beautiful roomie finally got married! I say finally because Andrew pursued her for 3 years before she eventually gave in and looked his way!

Lisa was my room mate in my 2nd year at Varsity- and we had such a blast together! We laughed, we joked, we shared deep things,we talked about absolute nonsense,we chirped each other and most of all we just laughed! I often remember her coming back from class or church and saying something along the lines of, “Oh my gosh- can he not just leave me alone!? Andrew asked me on ANOTHER coffee date!!  I don’t think this guy is ever going to get it- I just don’t like him!” And we  laughed, we joked, we shared deep things,we talked about absolute nonsense,we chirped each other and most of all we just laughed about this whole ‘Andrew thing’.

However God had something different in mind for my roomz!

Andrew was going to Scotland for a year and so just before he left, a spontaneous week of festivities was held by some of their mutual friends to bid Andrew farewell. Lisa went along for all of this and I hardly saw her at all in that time. But it was in this week that the little Lisa bird came to realise that this old Andrew chap wasn’t half bad and that she was going to miss him when he was gone. It was also at this time that she realised that that was probably due to the fact she did in truth like him!!! With a change of her heart and a change of his travelling plans- these two lovely people started out on their journey together! And now a few years down the line they are MARRIED!!

Needless to say it was such a privilege capturing my friend’s big day! It was so much fun being around these two! They honestly did not stop laughing the whole time and their joy just bubbles over into every photo.

Andrew and Lisa- I pray that God will continue to lead and guide you as you seek His will and wisdom for your lives. You are such a beautiful, spontaneous couple- never lose that joy and love for life! It is what draws people to you, and to the God who lives inside of you both!
