To have the opportunity of travelling through Europe with my best friend, photographing 2 weddings there, seeing so many incredible sights and cultures, and meeting interesting people along the way, had me realise how blessed I am! I didn’t deserve any of this and yet God overwhelmed me with His goodness and just spoilt me with such amazing experiences…because He can and wants to! My heart was full and happy even though my feet were sore from walking through all these fantastic places.

It’s when my heart is so full of gratitude and thankfulness that I can’t help but try and share some of that with others. This shoot is as a result of one of those moments where you are walking in a beautiful international destination, and it dawns on you that you would really like to bless the gorgeous couple walking alongside you with a family shoot.  Hilton and Hayley, are good friends of Kim; and along with their cutie pie of a daughter Ella Mae, they joined us for a night in Venice. Early the next morning, before the flood of tourists and intensity of the Italian summer heat engulfed us, we set off into the streets of Venice to capture the awesomeness that is the Brown family.

Ella Mae is just the cutest little thing with so much personality and energy! And her parents are the nicest people who do a phenomenal job with raising her! Thanks to my dear friend and “on trip” assistant, Kimmy, for your help and all the wonderful memories we made together!
