Been wanting to post this shoot since the moment I’ve taken it! How ridiculously cute are these kiddies? Meet Mauritz and Lindy Kriek, along with their adorable little ones, Ninari and Zach. Lindy is a fantastic kiddies photographer (go have a look at her page) and she specialises in family and baby shoots, so you can understand how flattered I was when she contacted me for a family shoot! We headed off to Strand for the shoot and struck it real lucky with the weather, as it was the only sun shine day in a whole week of rain! The wind was a bit of a factor though and soon the kids were freezing their cute little toes off. But the light was just too gorgeous to cut the shoot short and we soldiered through, braving the elements. Lindy and Mauritz are down to earth people, who are so easy to get along with and I had an absolute ball with them and their children. Mauritz had to unfortunately leave half way through the shoot so as to catch his plane to Joburg, and then to India. The kids love their dad so much that when he left we had to find a way of distracting them so that they didn’t start crying. Luckily we brought Zoey along, the cutest little wire haired Jack Russell puppy that belongs to my lovely assistant, Natasha. Ninari wasn’t as easily fooled by the distraction as Zach, who instantly bonded with Zoey as if they were old friends. But soon enough the cold wind was a big enough distraction to us all that we wrapped up the shoot and called it a day.
