When I woke up on the Sunday morning of Darren and Bianca’s wedding day, it was not due to my alarm. It was as a result of 44km/hr winds howling outside and I was scared that the roof was going to blow away. Driving through to Cape Town, the gale force winds died down to a mild 20km/hr but the rain started falling and soon we could hardly see where we were driving. Although it was the ideal weather for lying in bed and watching a movie, it was far from ideal weather for a wedding and it had me a bit nervous. I was also a bit nervous because it was my first Jewish wedding and was so scared that I wouldn’t know what was going on!
Luckily though, the weather eventually played along a little and with the great advice of Andrew Alexander and Dave from Suikerbossie wedding venue I was put at ease as to how the day would run. Darren and Bianca are such sweethearts, and seeing how excited yet relaxed and content they were when we arrived at the hotel, I knew it was going to be a super fun day. And it was- oh my goodness! I have never experienced such a fun party. When they started with the dancing I didn’t even know where to start taking pictures- there was so much going on and it looked like everyone was having a blast! Sheets, chairs, ribbons, hats, glowsticks and drums made this party one I won’t quickly forget!
I met Darren and Bianca when I did their engagement shoot in Cape Town a while back (to view please click here) and immediately adored them as a couple. They have the most beautiful blue eyes, and gorgeous hearts to match!
Darren’s Hebrew name (Doron) means “gift” and Bianca’s (Bracha if I remember correctly) means “blessing”…and that is exactly what they are to the people around them. So much so that most of the guests flew out from Israel to be at this celebration of family, love and life! What was also so special is to see how much they value family life, and how special their friends are to them.
Bi and Darren, all the best for your married life together. May it be filled with lots of laughter, joy, love, peace and Gods amazing blessings! Thanks for a great time spent with you
Blessings xxx
Thanks also to Natasha, my amazing assistant who I couldn’t have done this without!
