Set at the foot of the Franschhoek mountains, this wedding celebration was held at L’Ermitage Chateau and Villa’s. A small and intimate wedding was the order of the day, with only the closest friends and family there to partake in this special occasion. The whole mood of the moment was incredibly relaxed and calm and it was an absolute pleasure to be a part of Jako and Michelle’s day.
There were two interesting things I observed there. Firstly, Franschhoek is an incredibly beautiful place. So beautiful that the local residents want to keep it all to themselves (understandably). I noticed too that these residents are shrewd business people who only share their beautiful green surroundings with you when you share your beautiful green money with them.
Secondly- I also observed the cricket plague that hit the Western Cape…in full force! When we walked anywhere we would hear the bustling noise of crickets scurrying into the bushes…and a small but noticeable chill would run down my spine. Yuck- the shear numbers of those gogga’s freaked me out! Anyhow! back to the lovely couple…
Sweet and gentle- Jako and Michelle are the epitome of sweethearts! I love seeing the way they are towards one another- always mindful and respectful of the other, and always ready to make the other one smile. Self-less and genuine- these two “get” each other, they just do! Mag julle huwelik ‘n baie geseënde ene wees gevul met baie liefde en vreugde. Blessings xxx
Dankie ook aan my wonderlike assistent vir die dag. Nikkie, jy is te oulik!
