I met Elsabé a few years back whilst studying at the Academy of Design and Photography. This gorgeous lady had come from Elisabeth Galloway School of Fashion Design, and to add to her fashion experience decided to do the certificate course in commercial photography. Needless to say whenever we received any type of fashion or beauty brief- she excelled! She was always friendly and wearing that big, beautiful smile of hers! So when I received a contact form from her saying that she was getting married and would like me to do the pictures- I couldn’t help but get excited! I knew she would make a beautiful bride and that her wedding day would be spectacular.
When we arrived at this local Stellenbosch guest house, L’Olivier, what we saw took our breath away! This magnificent venue, which belongs to Elsabe’s family, was transformed into a real Italian banquet ready to host the large party of guests. They really went the extra mile to make this an evening to remember, even bringing in features such as blossom trees, an old school cannon, homemade ice-cream from Fanny Chanel, freshly baked yummy breads from De Schoone Companje, and a whole incredible feast of delicious family recipes.
What was really special to see is how important family is to both the Lemmers and the Kuhn’s. Whether it be playing music, saying speeches, catering, or being part of the bridal party- most family members were given a role to play in Kyle and Elsabé’s big day.
And as I knew they would, Kyle and Elsabé made the most exquisite photo’s. Their deep love and affection for one another is really evident, and it made my job to get pretty pictures so much easier! Dankie julle twee legends vir ‘n fantasties tyd saam julle! Wow- julle maak ‘n beeldkone paartjie, van binne en buite. Mag die Here julle aanhou lei in julle liefde en omgee vir mekaar, en vir ander mense. Ek glo julle huwelik gaan n baie geseënde ene wees!
Blessings xxx
Thanks to Tash who assisted me on the day! You are the best!
