If I was ever in doubt of Gods goodness and overwhelming grace- I certainly am not any more after shooting this wedding. This is one I’ll never forget!
Why? you may ask…Well, of all of the weddings I ever shot, this one was probably the one I felt least confident in shooting. The day hadn’t turned out as I had planned, because I got sick with a very mean tummy bug. (And let me assure you that as much as it sucks on a good day to have a stomach bug, that suckiness is increased 1000 times the day you have to shoot someone’s wedding!)
To be honest with you, there were parts of the day that I was feeling so ill, I didn’t know if I was going to make it. BUT God, faithful as he is and in his grace, strengthened me and carried me through it all- and on top of that blessed me with one of the coolest, godliest couples ever, in glorious, golden light! It was in this that I realised that I am not doing this in my own strength, but solely that of the Lord’s. Any success in capturing the day was all thanks to Him.
Some wonderfully creative service providers clubbed together their talents and services so that one lucky couple could win a whole wedding for free, and that lucky couple happened to be Jason and Lara! I only found this out later, and was honoured to be picked by these two lovebirds as their official photographer for the day.
The wedding day was a perfect wind still day in Noordhoek- which to my knowledge and experience, never happens. Apart from that Jason and Lara are truly such friendly loveable folk, who are such naturals in front of the camera- so my job was also made so much easier.
Jason and Lara…THANK YOU! :) May your marriage be SO blessed. I pray that the Lord will always remain the centre of your life and that your relationship will grow from strength to strength as you seek His heart in everything. Thanks for being so amazing :) Much love and many blessings!
To Tash- I have no idea how I would have done this wedding without you. There are no words for how grateful I am to you!!! xxx
