Oh my goodness! I am so excited to be photographing this awesome couple’s wedding this weekend! :) These two are such wonderful humanoids who have a deep sense of contentment and peace in life, and seeing how comfortable they are around one another just makes me smile.
For their engagement shoot we headed off to Jonkershoek, thinking we’d do the majority of the shoot in the Nature Reserve, only to find out that the gate closes at 19:00 (the time we were thinking of going in!) Luckily, I had discovered this whilst I was doing my location scouting earlier on in the afternoon, so I messaged Machiel and Michela to meet me at 18:30.
When we were wanting to go in however, the gate keeper alerted us to the fact that no cars were allowed into the reserve an hour before the gate closed- so we would have to go by foot. This changed things up a bit and meant that all the spots I had found earlier deeper into the reserve wouldn’t be reached in time. So we improvised along the way, took some quick shots at the start of the reserve and then headed out again. The sun started setting very quickly behind the mountain and we rushed to be in time for the golden hour light which would be waiting for us on Lanzerac’s hill.
Machiel en Michela- dankie vir die lekker mense wat julle is. Ek sien so uit om julle weer voor my lens te he!! Sien julle Saterdag! whoo hoo! :)
Thanks too to my clown of an assistant Jessie! #jyisnnar #thanksfortheentertainment
