One of the perks of being a wedding photographer is that I get to meet fantastic, and in love people like Machiel and Michela! :) I had the privilege of having them in front of my lens for their big day at De Uijlenes, near Gansbaai some time ago.  When I  woke up that morning it was to a very wet and miserable scene outside the window. Dressing up in semi winter clothes and boots, I headed off to “go do this thing!” of what I thought was going to be a rainy day. Upon our arrival in Gansbaai I realised that the rain clouds were just kidding, and I was now slightly overdressed for the occasions weather. What a perfect day it turned out to be- even the wind went to lie down! Guests came from far and wide to celebrate the union of this wonderful couple under the trees near the venue.

Machiel and Michela are not only very sweet together, but lots of fun too. I loved spending the day with them, but especially the couple shoot where I got to enjoy their quiet sense of humours and their gentle affections for one another. (They are so easy to photograph!!! )
