“A girl should be two things: Classy and fabulous.” – Coco Chanel
And this is exactly what this wedding day was. Classy, elegant, sophisticated (yet fun) and absolutely fabulous! Meeting with them before the wedding, and discussing the theme of the day- I got so excited. I knew that Sean and Megan’s wedding was going to be a fantastic one to photograph, and I was not disappointed!
When we arrived though the weather looked, well… very, very far from fabulous. The first three images here show what our view was like when we got to Molenvliet. Needless to say, I very quickly started sending up some “please pause the rain” requests. And true to His form- the prayers were answered and when we needed to be outside to take photo’s, it stopped raining. Praise the Lord! :)
Sean, a proudly South African lad, met the beautiful Nabraska born and bred Megan, during his time in America for a tennis scholarship. The combination of a South African lad and Nebraskan gal seems to be a popular one in the Coetzee family- as Sean’s dad and mum had the very same combo. :) Friends and family came from all over South Africa and the USA in order to celebrate these two wonderful people. With good food, and great company- the evening was one not to be forgotten soon. Megan and Sean are such lovely folk- and I enjoyed spending the day with them documenting and editing the whole affair in a “Coco Chanel” type of way.
I wish you two all the best for your married life together! May you continue living life to the full the way you do, and come visit South Africa again soon :) I trust your marriage will be blessed and prosperous, filled with so much patience, love, and abundant joy! Thank you for being so fun to work with- and for allowing me the privilege to document your day. Much love, Lindy.
To my amazing assistant for the day- Tash, you are the bombdiggity. ;)
