Jaco and Emsi got married on the farm “Boontjiesrivier” just outside of Citrusdal, which is where Emsi grew up and where the two of them met for the first time a few years ago. I don’t think Boontjieskraal’s packing shed has ever looked so amazing, or ever hosted such a wonderful party! But, it was the perfect place for Jaco and Emsi’s beautiful, rustic celebration. Farm weddings remain one of my favourite types of celebrations to shoot! Seeing how everyone clubs in to help set up and make the day come together really warms my heart and reminds me of special community really is.

I absolutely adored the couple shoot time with these two love birds! There was the most beautiful golden hour light and seeing how in love they are with one another- was nothing short of divine. Whilst location scouting I often find some beautiful but rather daring spots that I know will make great pictures, but it will be a huge effort to get there and I never quite know if the couple would be keen to adhere to my crazy plans. Thankfully though, Jaco and Emsi are kickass “plaasjapie”clients who were up for the crazy challenge and hiked up a massive boulder for some of the pics. Which I can assure you was no easy feat, but they managed to do it with surprising ease and I am eternally grateful that they were willing to go hiking in their wedding gear ;)
