What a blast from the past when I got an email from Christo inquiring about my photography for their wedding day! Christo’s parents were both teachers at my Pre-Primary school and I have such fond memories of them. I have not heard their names or seen them since the 1990’s (gosh, think I am giving away my age now! :) but it was so lovely to be reconnected after all these years.
Christo grew up in our area in the Eastern Cape, but made a career move to the UK many moons ago, and has been living in London ever since. This is where he met Rosalind, a gorgeous red-haired lass who quickly became someone he couldn’t live without. The saying “opposites attract” is definitely true with these two, and it was great seeing the fantastic friendship and love they share with one another. They decided to tie the knot at Grande Provence in Franschhoek on the first day of Spring- and what a stunner of a day it was! Friends and family from afar could enjoy the splendid view of the Hottentots mountains and the typical beauty of the Cape winelands in perfect weather, whilst celebrating the love Christo and Ros have found in one another.
To Christo and Ros- thank you so much for choosing me to capture the happy moments of your gorgeous wedding day! What a wonderful time spent with you! I pray that your journey ahead together may be a very long, blessed, content, fun, and vibrant one that has you laughing through life and drawing closer and closer to one another. Sending so much love and blessings your way! xxx
Thanks too to Natasha who helped out on the day- you champ you! :)
