I first met William when he joined our cell group in 2016. Bringing along some pudding on his first visit to the group- made us all immediately like him! As time went on we got to know him as a super positive, intelligent, friendly and caring guy who invests a lot into people around him. He has a genuine revelation of the Lords love, and lives out his Christianity in a very real and inspiring way. We spoke a lot about how good the Lord is, how much he teaches us as His children and how deeply he cares for us. We shared life experiences, highs and lows and tried to encourage one another in the Lord when times were tough. William being the exhorter he is, was at the fore front of the encouragement- and no one ever left from cell meetings without hope! William had also been trusting the Lord for a wife- and even though we never really spoke about it much in the group, we knew with conviction that the Lord would fulfill his promise to William.

One day we were at a big group meeting with a whole lot of different cell groups and William asked if he could bring someone along for the evening. This didn’t surprise me as William is a bit of an evangelist, and always invites and includes people to these types of events. But what did surprise me however is who he brought along. A STUNNING blue eyed, red head lady who he introduced as “Elri, my girlfriend!”

We were all over the moon for him, and after speaking to Elri a bit that night, couldn’t be happier for the man! Here was the Lords answer to his prayer. A kind, caring, beautiful and intelligent woman to be his equal and help meet. The Lord is good!

Their wedding day timeline was quite different from the average wedding. We started off with the ceremony, then lunch, then I did some location scouting, after which we did the preparation shots, then bridal party, couple shoot and finally William’s speech. The weather was looking rather miserable at the start of the day but thankfully cleared later for the couple shoot photo’s. Although we had the most brilliant warm golden hour light, we absolutely froze in the icey wind. Every now and then I would make them do the running man or star jumps just to get warm again, otherwise I would have photographed two icicles!

“May the Lord make you increase and abound in love for one another and for all, as we do for you, so that he may establish your hearts blameless in holiness before our God and Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus with all his saints.” Blessings xxx
