These words come from one of the songs that was sung in worship at Albert and Ruth’s wedding ceremony. Reading through them I find myself thinking how true these words are for Albert and Ruth as a couple. No matter what comes in life- they know that Christ is their cornerstone- and such joy and peace exudes from them because of it!

They got married at Zorgvliet on THE most perfect day anyone could have ordered for a winter wedding in the Cape. Seriously…it was actually rather ridiculous! The week before and the week after we had some of the coldest stormy (and snowy) weather I have ever experienced in Stellenbosch, but on their day…absolute perfection! The moment the sun set though one could definitely feel the chill in the air. And being dressed in (very) pretty dresses with open backs, the bride and her girls started getting a light bit too cold whilst we were doing the bridal party photo’s. While I was busy shooting the groom and his groomsmen I heard A LOT of giggling coming from the girls. I turned around to find them huddled with their backs together, moving up and down, trying to keep the bride warm with their velvet dresses. #whatateam #greatbunchofgirls

Albert and Ruth- may the Lord bless your marriage in the most amazing way- and may you fall more and more in love with one another as each day passes! You guys are really so gorgeous together- and it was a privilege being a part of your special day…thank you for letting me be! My prayer for you comes from Colossians 3:16-17. “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.”
