I love farm weddings, but I especially love Karoo farm weddings. There is just something about Karoo folk and their genuine friendliness and hospitality, that I can’t quite explain. It’s just too wonderful! Christine and Dylan’s wedding was a testament to this truth.
These two love birds got married on Christine’s family farm in the Fish River area near Cradock. Their ceremony and reception area used to be a hotel where people used to stop off on their way to Hofmeyer back in the good old days. They would swap out their horses, grab a bed if it was late, and then be one their way the next morning. But in more recent years it has been utilised as a shearing shed for the Collett’s sheep. The Reverend that married these two also married Christine’s parents, Ted and Ingrid, many years ago. How special is that?
To Christine and Dylan… thanks so much for the wonderful opportunity to capture your special day with your loved ones. You guys are truly such a treat to be around- your joy is contagious and your love is sincere. May the Lord bless your marriage in the most phenomenal ways you can imagine! This is my prayer for you from Colossians 3:16-17:
” Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.”
Much love and blessings xxx
