Ah man, this shoot was like medicine for my soul! To see an old friend that I haven’t seen since what feels like forever, and picking up right where we left off!

Karina and I stayed together in a house in Stellenbosch in 2018, and from the get go shared Eastern Cape roots; a love for pot plants, creativity, homemade granola; and the garage as an office space. It was here where our friendship really deepened and where we would have many long and deep discussions about faith, family, work and relationships (or the absence of them!). It was an exceptionally special time- and one that I often think back to!

Fast forward a few years later, we are both married to incredible husbands and blessed with the privilege of having beautiful, bubbly and inquisitive kids. Something both of us thought would probably never happen back then, because we had been single for so long. Now we are living the lives we had yearned and prayed for. What a blessing!

My friend- I am so glad we did this shoot! It was an absolute joy seeing you and Niel again, as well as your folks, but also finally getting to meet your cute kiddos! You will always have a special place in my heart. Much love to you all in Springbok!
