“A successful marriage requires falling in love many times, always with the same person.”
– Mignon McLaughlin –
When she was 16 she stood in amongst the trees at Beloftebos and said to Rohann, who she was dating at the time, “Ek gaan een dag hier trou, of dit nou jy is of nie.”
Eight years later, true to her word, Johanlie married Rohann under the green oaks of Beloftebos in front of all their closest friends and family. Seeing how precious family is to them really makes my heart smile. Johanlie’s gran sadly passed away before she could witness this joyous day- but knew her granddaughters heart. She made arrangements and plans with Beloftebos years before Rohann and Johanlie were even engaged, so that Johanlie could have the perfect wedding day! A gesture which made the wedding day even more special, even in her absence.
Rohann hates dancing, but surprised (and impressed) everyone when they took to the dance floor for their first dance. The couple had taken some lessons and opened the floor with a song by Lee Brice which is one of my favourite country songs. It’s called ” I don’t dance” and listening to the lyrics you’ll understand why he chose it. :)
