In 2015 some friends and I did a roadtrip through Namibia, and I shot a “Desert Wanderer” fashion shoot in Swakopmund’s sand dunes with a friend of mine called Carlin. Little did I know then that Veronika (who is also good friends with Carlin) would see these photo’s and make up her mind to have her wedding photo’s taken in the same dunes, with the same photographer. Fast forward to 2019, and here we are!
Swakopmund has a very special place in the hearts of both Divan and Veronika. Divan was born and raised there, and Vroni came from Germany to fill a teaching post- but loved it so much she never wanted to leave. This is also where these two lovelies met and fell in love, and naturally Swakop would be their first choice for where to get married too.
To Divan and Vroni, a massive and humble thank you for choosing me to be your wedding photographer. Fanie and I had the best time with you and couldn’t stop talking about how amazing you are, and how fantastic your wedding was. It was such a joy and privilege to witness the love you have for one another- and the immense care and concern you have for those around you. You are both exceptionally kind, wise and joyful people. May the Lord bless your marriage abundantly and may you walk this journey of marriage with such joy, peace, love and contentment always. This is my prayer for you:
May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord make His face to shine upon you and be gracious unto you. And may God give you His peace in your going out and in your coming in, in your lying down and in your rising up, in your labor and in your leisure, in your laughter and in your tears . . . Until you come to stand before Jesus in that day in which there is no sunset and no dawning.
Sending you so much love and blessings from sunny South Africa! xxx
These photographs are beautiful – Well done.
Thanks Darren! :)
