Gosh, what a wonderful and truly special time spent with this amazing family all the way from Finland. I first met the Kallahti’s in 2016 when I did their family shoot at Noordhoek beach whilst they were visiting Cape Town. I was delighted when Laura emailed to say that the Kallahti’s had gained a new little member, Nooa, since I last saw them- and that they would be returning to South Africa for a visit to Gauteng, and would like a family shoot whilst there. So I flew up to Joburg and was privileged to join them for a safari game drive at Mongena Private Game reserve, and spend the night at Pierneef’s Kraal with them, before leaving VERY early again the next morning.

To Juha, Laura, Sellah and Nooa…I can’t thank you enough for the wonderful time spent with you. You are a joy to be around, and it is so special to see what a kind, caring and close knit family you are. Thanks for the great conversations we had, for being so photogenic in all the photo’s, for transporting me (even at ridiculous hours like 4 am in the morning), and for the wonderful experience not only of being on safari with you- but also to witness your wholesome family life and how well you parent your kids. They are a true delight, and you guys can be so proud of them. My prayer for you is from Romans 15:5-6 “May the God of endurance and encouragement grant you to live in such harmony with one another, in accord with Christ Jesus, that together you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
